Alberta Properties plans interior and exterior renovations to three aging office buildings located at a prime Amherst intersection near Whole Foods Market.
The company owns and manages the properties at 315 and 331 Alberta Drive, both built in the 1970s, and 3140 Sheridan Drive, built in 1988.
Each building has 15,000 square feet of rentable space and is substantially occupied, said Alberta Properties President Stephen Obletz.
Work began last month on 331 Alberta, including an elevator, accessible bathrooms, updated life safety systems and upgraded common area.
Renovations start in fall on 315 Alberta and in spring 2020 on 3140 Sheridan. That work is cosmetic in nature.
Once construction is finished the buildings will have a uniform appearance. The company hasn't calculated the total cost but said the initial investment for 331 Alberta is roughly $500,000.
