I disagree with Rod Watson’s Feb. 7 column concerning the “Blue Lives” flag outside a Buffalo police station. I viewed that flag and it does not have a “black stripe,” the stripe is dark blue and the rest of the flag is a lighter blue. The station also has a similar flag inside. (The station also has a proper United States flag flying).
My feeling is that all lives matter and people who feel their lives matter have the right to proclaim so.
Many homes in Cheektowaga have a sign: “Thank God for our police.” There are many placards throughout Buffalo that honor police officers killed in the line of duty. Should they be removed also?
