An Allegany County woman was arrested after falsely reporting fraudulent charges to her bank account for which she was reimbursed about $3,600 by her bank, according to the New York State Police.
Ashley E. Pernicone, 24, of Fillmore, was charged Monday with grand larceny and falsely reporting an incident.
Community Bank, located in Fillmore, originally reported an incident on Sept. 21, 2018. Troopers conducted an investigation and discovered Pernicone had falsely reported fraudulent charges on her bank account for which she received approximately $3,600 in reimbursement from Community Bank, officials said.
Pernicone was arrested by state troopers out of the Amity station in Belmont and arraigned in Centerville Town Court, where she was remanded to Allegany County Jail in lieu of $500 bail or $1,000 bond. She is due to appear in Hume Town Court in March.
