'Shampoo bandit' strikes again in Niagara Falls, ID'd by cops

NIAGARA FALLS – The city's "shampoo bandit" has struck twice more, but in the process was identified by police and is being sought for arrest.

The man, who has made a habit of stealing bottles of shampoo from various Pine Avenue businesses in recent weeks, first struck at the Pine Pharmacy on Wednesday afternoon, cramming $263.85 worth of shampoo inside his leather jacket and pants before fleeing from the store. Two days later, he hit the CVS Pharmacy across the street, this time snatching 22 bottles of hair cleaner valued at $170.

The suspect was tentatively identified by police after viewing surveillance video from the CVS theft. A warrant has been procured for his arrest.
