Running out of gas leads to DWI arrest for repeat offender

An Irving woman who told police she ran out of gas was arrested for aggravated DWI with a baby in the car and for driving without an interlock device, state police reported.

Troopers found Nancy Jimerson, 34, with a 2014 Buick on the shoulder of the northbound I-190 in Niagara Falls around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.  The Buick belonged to a friend and did not have an interlock device, which Jimerson is court ordered to have due to a previous DWI arrest, police said. She registered 0.16 percent on a blood alcohol test and also had an 18-month-old child in the back seat without a proper child safety seat, police said.

Jimserson was held in Niagara Falls City Jail on $750 bail. The child was turned over to a relative.
