Jamestown woman arrested after allegedly biting woman

A Jamestown woman was arrested after allegedly biting another woman Friday, after Jamestown Police responded to an alleged assault in progress at an Elk Street address.

Upon their arrival on the scene at about 4:16 p.m., police said, they determined that Jean Hayes, 42, had allegedly bitten another woman, injuring the woman's hand.

Hayes was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was awaiting arraignment on a charge of third-degree assault, Jamestown Police said.
