A Jamestown man and woman were arrested following a domestic dispute Friday that allegedly happened in front of two children, according to Jamestown Police.
After arriving upon the scene of a reported stabbing, police determined 28-year-old Eric V. Walz and 25-year-old Elizabeth Walz had allegedly been involved in a physical domestic dispute.
Police said Eric Walz was allegedly stuck in the back with a closed fist by Elizabeth Walz, who alleged that Eric Walz had choked her to where she experienced a stupor.
Police said part of the incident occurred in the presence of a 7-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy. Police did not identify the relationship of the children and adults.
Elizabeth and Eric Walz were taken into custody by police and transported to Jamestown City Jail, where they were held pending arraignment.
Eric Walz was charged with second-degree strangulation, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Elizabeth Walz was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
