Channel 4 hires a reporter from WBFO

WIVB-TV (Channel 4) didn’t have to look far to find its newest reporter.

Angelica Morrison, who has held multiple roles at public radio station WBFO-FM (88.7), has been hired by the CBS affiliate as a multimedia journalist or MMJ. She starts on March 4.

A Buffalo State College graduate with 10 years of journalism experience, she had been the managing editor for special projects, a news producer and a reporter at WBFO.

She previously worked as a freelancer at The Buffalo News and The Niagara Gazette, was a producer at WKTV-TV in Utica and an MMJ at the Observer Dispatch in Utica.

Channel 4 had a reporting opening after Jenn Schanz recently left the station.
