Buffalo police name city's third homicide victim of 2019

Buffalo police on Thursday released the name of the man who died after he was shot Sunday night on Main Street.

Gary Redd, 32, was shot on Main Street, between Lisbon and Minnesota avenues, at about 9:40 p.m. Redd, of Buffalo, was transported to Erie County Medical Center in a private vehicle, where he later died, police said.

A 31-year-old man also shot was treated and released, according to police.

Redd's death is the city's third homicide of the year.

Police ask anyone with information to call or text the department's confidential tip line at 847-2255.
