Woman charged in Black Rock robbery of food deliveryman

Buffalo police charged a woman and are looking for another assailant after a food deliveryman was robbed Tuesday night in Black Rock.

The 37-year-old victim told police a man robbed him at gunpoint at about 10:05 p.m. on Gorton Street, between Austin and Farmer streets, according to a police report.

Tiana J. Matias, 25, of Hoffman Place, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday at the Northwest District police station, according to the report.

Matias was accused of placing the order for the food and police said they found the stolen food in her possession at her home. Officers also recovered the phone they believe was used to place the call. Matias was charged with first-degree robbery and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
