Matthew Gulley of Niagara Falls, who received three state prison sentences and one Niagara County Jail term in the 1990s for selling cocaine in the Falls, is headed back to prison.
Gulley, 52, was sentenced Wednesday to three years for possession of a mixture of heroin and fentanyl.
Gulley was arrested after police searched his Ashland Avenue home May 18 and came up with 0.19 ounces of the drug combination. He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. tacked on two years of post-release supervision. The judge noted that Gulley has totaled 20 years of prison and jail sentences in his criminal career.
