Missing person report filed in Niagara Falls for New Jersey man

A missing person report has been filed in Niagara Falls for a New Jersey man who has been missing since December after the man's car was recovered in Niagara Falls, according to the Niagara Intelligence and Crime Analysis Center.

The missing man is Joseph M. Lamartina, 32. His last known address was 68 Annette Drive, Marlboro, N.J. NICAC's bulletin lists a previous address at 262 River St., Depew. He was last seen in the hotel area of downtown Niagara Falls early this year.

Lamartina was reported missing in New Jersey on Dec. 14. His vehicle was recovered on Feb. 8 in the parking lot of DoubleTree Hotel, 401 Buffalo Ave. in Niagara Falls. NICAC said he checked into the hotel on Dec. 15 and checked out Dec. 16.

On Jan. 2, two witnesses reported a man matching the missing person description as having approached them at the Sheraton Hotel on Third Street. They said he asked for money so he could return to New Jersey.

He is described as 5-foot-11, 160 pounds and having brown hair and brown eyes with a tattoo of a Sicilian horn on his right shoulder. His birthdate is Dec. 31, 1986.
