Jamestown man stopped for driving without headlights, arrested on multiple charges

A traffic stop for driving without headlights led to the arrest of a Jamestown man on multiple charges, including driving with a revoked nondriver's ID and possession of a "small amount" of crack cocaine and marijuana.

Shell Raymond, 50, was driving on East Fifth Street at Spring Street when police pulled him over at 9:52 p.m. Saturday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Police also found an open beer in the vehicle.

Raymond was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlicensed operation, aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device, car insurance and appropriate lights and failure to notify DMV of address change.

He was taken to City Jail and held on bail.
