HUNGRY? – Chowder will be ready at noon Saturday at Niagara Hose Fire Company No. 3, 74 Wheeler St., City of Tonawanda. Cost is $4 per quart. To place an advance order, drop a container off early.

The Shriners of Western New York will hold a winter chicken barbecue from noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Shrine Center, 1600 Southwestern Blvd., West Seneca. Dinners are $10 and include a half chicken, two salads and a roll. For more info, call 674-8666.

TUMULTUOUS TIMES – Historian Gregory Kinal will give a presentation on the personal and political life of President Abraham Lincoln at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lancaster Historical Society, 40 Clark St., Lancaster. Admission is free. All are welcome.

TIME OUT – The Memory Lane respite program at First Presbyterian Church, 149 Broad St., City of Tonawanda, will offer a break Tuesday for those caring for a family member with a memory impairment at home.
Trained volunteers will provide supervised fun activities from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the memory impaired, along with crafts, music, singing and a hot meal, all at no charge. For info and a guest registration, call the church office at 692-1319 or email nanafourx@gmail.com.
