Buffalo Filter, which just underwent an ownership change, will lay off 13 percent of the workforce at its Lancaster plant, the company told the state Department of Labor in a filing.
The medical products company in the filing said it will lay off 15 of its 114 employees, between mid-May and the end of November.
In December, Filtration Group agreed to sell Buffalo Filter to ConMed, a publicly traded medical device company based in Utica, for $365 million. ConMed announced on Monday that it had completed the deal.
Todd Garner, ConMed's chief financial officer, declined to comment on the reason for the layoffs.
