A Niagara Falls man being sought by authorities after he cut off his ankle monitor was arrested Wednesday morning in Kenmore, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Tyrell S. Handley, 20, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force at an unspecified location on Elmwood Avenue, the Marshals Service said in a news release.
Handley, of 15th Street, was wanted on a probation violation issued Thursday after he removed his ankle monitor. He was required to wear the monitor as a condition of probation.
The task force is comprised of the Marshals Service, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, as well as state, Niagara Falls and Buffalo police.
