How windy has Wednesday been? Here are WNY's wind reports

Just five days removed from Buffalo's strongest wind gust since last April, the Buffalo Niagara International Airport topped last Friday's 57 mph gust with one that was 59 mph Wednesday morning, according to National Weather Service reports.

An automated station at the airport recorded the 59 mph gust at 4:39 a.m. It was the strongest gust logged thus far today across the Buffalo Niagara region.
