Finger Lakes Bait and Tackle will be the new Ted’s. Decker sold out to Gary Metz at Finger Lakes B and T and he will be running the show from here on out. We wish them both luck on their new endeavors. For more information call Ted at 585-429-0587 or Gary at 585-414-5586.

Free fishing weekend on tap

To help promote winter fishing activities, the third weekend in February (this weekend) is designated a free fishing weekend in the state. No license is required, but you have to abide by the statewide regulations or special regulations that could be in place in or on the water you fish. Check www.dec.ny.gov for more information.

If you’ve been thinking about taking up fishing or tried to get a family/friend on the ice for hardwater action, this is the perfect excuse. Weather conditions don’t look bad for this weekend, so get out and wet a line.
