No injuries following Grand Island house fire

A house fire Monday on East River Road on Grand Island caused about $110,000 in damage, according to the Grand Island Fire Company.

Assistant Chief Dan Mathes said fire crews encountered heavy smoke venting from the building at about 3:30 p.m. when they arrived at the location. The fire was brought under control at 3:49 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Damage to the structure was estimated at $80,000 and $30,000 to the contents.
