Free rabies vaccination clinic rescheduled

The Erie County Health Department has rescheduled its free rabies vaccination clinic to dogs, cats and ferrets at the North Buffalo Community Center for Feb. 27. It was previously scheduled for Jan. 30 but was canceled due to the winter storm.

Any pet owners interested in having their pets vaccinated should bring their pets on a leash or in a carrier between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to the community center, 203 Sanders Road, off Colvin Boulevard and south of Kenmore Avenue. If possible, owners should also bring a copy of the pets' vaccination records.

The county will offer this free vaccination clinic and others held later this year in association with the SPCA Serving Erie County, Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society and Medaille Veterinary Technology program.
