McCLIVE - Lynnette Wilson October 10, 1926 - January 26, 2019.Born in Buffalo to Leah and Robert L Wilson, Lynn passed peacefully at 92 years following a short illness. She attended Elmwood-Franklin School, Lafayette High School, Pratt Institute of Art (NYC), Buffalo State College and received a MA in English from UB. Lynn was an Associate Professor (English) at D'Youville College for 24 years. She was an active member of the AAUW Buffalo Branch, past President and worked tirelessly for the annual AAUW Book Sale for many years. She continued in her later life as a BAUW Investment Club member. Married to Doug (Bill) McClive, Jr. for 59 years, Lynn raised four children: Lynn Farnsworth, Doug III, Susan Leisner (Richard) and Marci McClive Halsig (Mark). Doug and Lynn moved to The GreenFields in 2004, where she taught computer skills to residents and established a lending library for the GreenField Manor. They were both active in the GreenField Follies, an annual talent show, and She was also a member of the GF Council, promoting life at GF to prospective residents. Her hobbies included reading, writing, weaving and lacemaking, antiques and arguing politics. She was a lifelong follower of WNED and the Buffalo Philharmonic. Lynn leaves a legacy of a love of Fine Arts to her children, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister Kathleen Wilson Cobb (Jim), brothers-in-law Ed and John (Louise) and many extended
family members and friends.
