Niagara Falls Police reported they are seeking a violent offender who apparently cut off his ankle monitor and may have fled the area. He also is believed to have a gun, police said.
Tyrell S. Handley, 20, of 15th Street, is on probation and was listed as one of the “Top 25 Violent Offenders” in an unspecified report. He was arrested on multiple charges in October after a woman was pushed out of a vehicle during a police chase.
Police said Handley cut off a global positioning system ankle monitor he was required to wear as a condition of his probation. It was found behind a residence in the 400 block of Fourth Street just before 8 p.m. Thursday. A warrant was secured for his arrest.
