A community meeting on the LaSalle Park redesign is set from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Belle Center, 104 Maryland St.
The meeting is the second planned by the UB Regional Institute School of Architecture and Planning to explore public designs for Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Centennial Park.
Participants will be able to view preliminary concepts prepared by the design team at Michael VanValkenburgh Associates. The design concepts were gleaned during the January introductory meeting and a summer's worth of focus sessions attended by 1,164 community members and a team of local youth.
Planning for the new Centennial Park is starting from scratch. That means a 90-acre vacant space is on the drawing table.
