One of the nicest new Valentine’s traditions in the city is a musical one. For the fifth year, saxophonist Will Holton has gathered a group of his talented friends for “Love Cadenza,” a romantic concert of jazz and R&B musical stylings. The concert is 8 p.m. Feb. 9 in the Tralf Music Hall.
Joining Holton this year are Buffalo pastor, singer and drummer D’Mott Motley; Carel Logan, a Buffalo songwriter, producer and singer now based in Hollywood who was chosen as the 2018 AT&T Dream in Black artist for the BET Awards; Rochester bassist Carlton Wilcox; and trumpeter Brian Freeman.
“This city will reward you with support that will last you a lifetime,” Holton said in an interview with The News about a previous "Love Cadenza" show. “That’s what ‘Love Cadenza’ will show: talented individuals who have made Buffalo their home. And yes, they may travel like myself, but my home is the City of Buffalo, and I will always perform for my city.”
Reserved tickets for "Love Cadenza Part 5" start at $25 at Doris Records, Ticketmaster and the Tralf box office.
