The Bandits acquired high-scoring forward Chris Cloutier from the Philadelphia Wings in exchange for transition player Ryan Wagner and a 2021 first-round draft pick, the team announced.
Cloutier was selected second overall in the National Lacrosse League draft by the expansion Wings and has seven goals and 17 assists in seven games. He is second in the league in scoring among rookies.
The Bandits are 6-2 and a half-game back in the East Division standings heading into a key matchup at the Georgia Swarm (7-2), which is tied for first place with the Toronto Rock (6-1).
Cloutier is a University of North Carolina product, who led the team in scoring in 2017 and '18 and was a member of the 2016 NCAA championship team.
Wagner has spent part of two seasons with the Bandits and has 11 points in 19 games after signing with as a free agent in 2017.
