Pegula Sports, consultants to host focus groups on potential new Bills stadium

Pegula Sports and Entertainment continues to seek input from fans regarding what they’d like to see in either a new or renovated stadium for the Buffalo Bills.

The next step in that process is a focus group that will be held at HarborCenter on Feb. 12. Fans who had previously completed a survey regarding the Bills’ stadium project were contacted by email Monday night from the address

“On behalf of the Buffalo Bills and Pegula Sports and Entertainment, thank you for completing the survey regarding the Buffalo Bills stadium project,” the email reads. “You had indicated interest in participating in a focus group session to help us better your potential interest in the project. CAA ICON will be conducting a limited number of focus groups in Buffalo.”

CAA ICON is the consulting firm that was hired by PSE in November to explore the possibility of either building a new stadium for the Bills or extensively renovating New Era Field. The Denver-based consulting firm is also expected to look into possible renovations at KeyBank Center, home of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits.

A spokesman for PSE said Tuesday that the organization has been “impressed” by the amount of fan interest, and that it will continue to solicit involvement in “many different ways,” but did not have any more details. A spokesman for CAA ICON did not respond to a request for comment. The Bills’ lease agreement with Erie County to play in Orchard Park expires in 2023.
