Cornelius Vanderbilt, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, J. P. Morgan, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford are all credited with the title of “The Men Who Built America.”
The men and women who really built America are the blue-collar workers of America. Sure, Vanderbilt, Rockefeller, Carnegie, Edison and Ford had the ideas and the money, but those ideas and dreams would have never been realized if it were not for the American worker. Even today skyscrapers, factories, roads, bridges and your home would still be on paper if it were not for hard-working blue-collar men and women.
As a blue-collar worker for 45 years it irks me when corporate millionaires and billionaires don’t understand why some American workers live paycheck to paycheck.
Don’t they realize that we are a major factor in why they are so wealthy and successful and that we built their dreams and ideas.
