A Cattaraugus County woman has been charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief for allegedly damaging her roommate's vehicle, according to State Police.
Troopers said they investigated a complaint that 27-year-old Samantha L. Haettich of Delevan had broken the taillight on her roommate's vehicle. Following an interview with Haettich, troopers said she admitted to smashing the taillight in hopes of getting her roommate stopped by police.
Haettich was arrested Thursday, State Police said. She turned herself into the State Police Barracks in Machias and was issued a ticket to appear this week in Town of Yorkshire Court, troopers said.
