A reward of up to $4,000 is being offered in Buffalo's first homicide of the year.
Frank Navaoli III, 27, was declared dead at the scene of a one-vehicle crash on Franklin Street in Allentown early on New Year's Day. Police said Navaroli had been shot at least twice before the crash and died as a result of the gunshot wounds.
The driver and another passenger in the car fled the scene before police arrived, according to authorities.
Crime Stoppers Buffalo is offering a reward of up to $2,500 and the Buffalo Police Department is offering up to $1,500 for information that leads to an arrest or an indictment.
Authorities ask anyone with information to call 867-6161 or submit a tip through Crime Stoppers' "Buffalo Tips" app.
