Two Dunkirk men were arrested Saturday on drug possession charges after State Police encountered them on the side of the road with a flat tire in Gerry, State Police said.
Donte Chambers, 25, and Tony Stewart, 36, were both charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after troopers said they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, searched it and recovered a small amount of the drug and two bags containing small amounts of cocaine.
Chambers was additionally charged with driving while intoxicated after failing several field sobriety tests, troopers said.
After the men were transported to State Police barracks in Jamestown, Chambers provided a breath sample reading of .11, according to troopers.
Both were transported to Chautauqua County Jail, where they were held pending arraignments, troopers said.
