Bills add assistant offensive line coach Terry Heffernan

Terry Heffernan has been named assistant offensive line coach for the Buffalo Bills.

Heffernan, who most recently served as associate head coach/offensive line coach at Eastern Kentucky, worked with new Bills offensive line coach Bobby Johnson with the Detroit Lions in 2013 and '14.

Heffernan was an assistant offensive line coach with Detroit for two seasons and quality control offensive line coach for one season. Johnson was the Lions' tight end coach in 2013 and assistant offensive line coach in 2014.

Heffernan also spent five seasons as the offensive line coach for Division II Wayne State before joining the Lions.

He is the third new member of the Bills' coaching staff to be announced, joining Johnson and new special teams coach Heath Farwell. The Bills have yet to announce a wide receivers coach.
