Two Jamestown residents were charged Sunday morning with endangering the welfare of children, according to the Jamestown police.
Police said they went to an East 6th Street residence to check on the well-being of four minors. Police said they determined the living conditions were unfit for children, and that the children did not have proper food in the house.
Police arrested Michael J. Patterson, 42, and Erica L. Hinson, 38. Each was charged with multiple counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Police did not identify the relationship of Patterson and Hinson to the children. The two were taken to city jail awaiting arraignment.
