Tonawanda supervisor schedules his State of the Town address

Tonawanda Town Supervisor Joseph H. Emminger will give his State of the Town message on Feb. 7.

Emminger will speak at noon at the Tonawanda Castle, 69 Delaware St., City of Tonawanda. Doors open at 11 a.m.

Emminger is likely to address several pending projects, including the future of the former Huntley Power Plant, the cleanup of the Tonawanda Coke site, improvements to Sheridan Drive and Niagara Falls Boulevard, efforts to combat zombie homes and planned and proposed upgrades to the town's recreational facilities.

The event is sponsored by the town, Ken-Ton Chamber of Commerce, Kenmore Mercy Hospital and GM Powertrain.
