Buffalo's real estate and development community has been led by some highly visible people for many years, if not decades, but many less-familiar figures are stepping into that spotlight. In some cases, they’re already doing their own projects to put their imprint on the community. Others remain in executive positions supporting their mentors but are making an impact and quickly becoming the face of the newest real estate and development projects. Here is a look at one such person; click here to see more.
Christian Campos is president of TM Montante Development, the real estate company of Thomas Montante – whose brother Carl owns Uniland. Campos joined Montante Group as chief financial officer in 2012, and rose to his current role in 2015.
He is directing the redevelopment of the former Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital into Lancaster Square, and previously played key roles in the renovation of the Planing Mill in downtown Buffalo, the development of FedEx Trade Networks’ regional facility at Riverview Solar Technology Park, and an adaptive reuse project in downtown Niagara Falls.
“I believe that thoughtful, high-quality real estate development can have a hugely positive impact on this community, and lately I’ve been inspired working on urban, mixed-use projects in both Buffalo and Niagara Falls,” Campos said.
“I like to engage with community groups, public officials and other stakeholders to figure out the best path forward for each of our projects, and I find it really rewarding to then play a role in bringing these projects to life,” he said.
