Michael Anderson arrived at Bank on Buffalo to oversee its growing retail operation.
This year, the bank plans to open a fifth branch, on Hopkins Road in Amherst, and expects to replace its temporary branch in Wheatfield with a permanent location that will be built in Niagara Falls.
Anderson late last year was named regional retail banking administrator for Bank on Buffalo, a division of Pennsylvania-based CNB Financial. His job is a new one, reflecting the bank's aggressive expansion in the Buffalo Niagara market since opening its first full-service branch, in the Electric Tower, nearly two years ago.
Bank on Buffalo president Martin Griffith said Anderson's role will include providing strategic advice on future retail expansion and services.
Anderson has worked in banking for 18 years, most recently as a retail area leader for KeyBank. Prior to that, the South Buffalo native worked with First Niagara Bank, HSBC Bank USA and FleetBank.
