Man given 'courtesy' ride by cops ends up in jail

A 54-year-old Pittsburgh man was arrested by Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies early Sunday morning after they said he became "disorderly and combative" with them while they were providing him with "a courtesy transport" from a home in Mayville.

Police received a call at 6:12 a.m. about a person being disorderly at the Mayville home, where individuals there asked officers to remove Anthony L. Tresatti. Deputies at first were giving Tresatti a ride to another location, but they said when he began fighting with them instead and then resisted arrest, they took him to the county jail instead.

He was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
