A free Open House will be held at the Beverly Gray Business Exchange Center from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The center, located at 334 E. Utica St., offers technical resources and business development to help small businesses owned by minorities, women and service-disabled veterans get started and grow, said Buffalo Mayor Byron W. Brown.
Successful small businesses that have received services at the center will be on hand as well as partners who provide the services.
There will be a tour, a networking reception and a chance to view a new portrait of Gray, a former Buffalo Common Council Member and community activist. The portrait was created by Edreys Wajed, an artist who contributed to the Freedom Wall public art project on East Ferry Street and Michigan Avenue.
