Town of Tonawanda police arrested a Buffalo man Friday night who is suspected of robbing a KeyBank branch earlier in the day.
Police reported that Marcus T. Scott, 32, walked into a Town of Tonawanda Key Bank branch at 1930 Niagara Falls Blvd., just north of Interstate 290, at 10:11 a.m. and threatened "to shoot everyone" if the teller did not hand over cash, though he did not display a gun.
Detectives caught up with Scott, of no permanent address, shortly after 8:30 p.m. Friday after he was seen walking into a NOCO gas station. After being told he was under arrest, police reported, Scott resisted the detectives and had to be physically restrained.
He is being charged with first-degree felony robbery, as well as felony grand larceny and misdemeanor resisting arrest and menacing charges.
