A 23-year-old Niagara Falls woman suffered head, facial and back injuries after hitting the windshield in a collision Thursday at Hyde Park Boulevard and Ferry Avenue, according to Niagara Falls Police.
The accident occurred about 3:25 p.m. when the woman was headed east on Ferry Avenue and drove through a red light, colliding with a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Youngstown resident who was traveling north on Hyde Park Boulevard, said Capt. Angela Munn, commander of the department's traffic division.
The Niagara Falls woman's car also struck a tree before coming to rest off the roadway. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to Munn. She was transported to Erie County Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition Thursday, Munn said.
The crash management team is continuing its investigation, Munn said.
