Lancaster man arraigned on sex abuse and child porn charges

A 24-year-old Lancaster man accused of sexual contact with two underage victims on July 4 and possessing images of child pornography on his cellphone was arraigned Friday before Lancaster Town Justice Jeremy A. Colby Friday, Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced.

Jeremy Casey has been charged with one felony count of first-degree sexual abuse, two felony counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child and one misdemeanor count of second-degree sexual abuse.

Prosecutors say he had sexual contact with two underage victims on July 4, 2018. During the investigation, authorities found "several images of child pornography" on his phone.

He is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 8.

If convicted, he faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
