A 34-year-old man was injured late Wednesday in single-vehicle accident on Fuhrmann Boulevard, according to a Buffalo Police Department spokesman.
Michael J. DeGeorge said the accident occurred just after 11:30 p.m., when the man's pickup drove through the center of a traffic roundabout near the U.S. Coast Guard Station.
According to DeGeorge, accident investigators determined that the truck vaulted over several large boulders, causing significant damage to the vehicle and the surrounding landscaping.
The driver was transported to Erie County Medical Center, where he was initially listed in stable condition, DeGeorge said.
No charges had been filed so far in connection with the crash, but an investigation was ongoing, DeGeorge said.
