DION, Wesley Jerome

DION - Wesley Jerome 93, formerly of Williamsville, NY, died Friday, January 18, 2019, in Scranton, PA, with his wife and children at his bedside. Visitation hours are from 2:00-6:00 PM on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Lester H. Wedekindt, Inc. Funeral Home, 3290 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, NY. Christian Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 am, Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the funeral home. Interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, NY, will be held at a later date. Wesley was born June 14, 1925, in Buffalo, NY, the son of Jerome Peter Dion and Clara Hantz. He was a 1943 graduate of Riverside High School, Buffalo. On April 12, 1947, Wesley was united in marriage to Phyllis Margaret Hepfinger of Salamanca, NY. This union was blessed with a daughter and 2 sons. The family made their home in Kenmore/Tonawanda area, NY, where he was the General Manager of Kenmore Motors. Wesley won numerous Ford Motors sales awards. He served as a Director and then as President of The Automobile Sales Managers Association of Buffalo. He finished his sales career at Tunmore Oldsmobile from where he retired to his Williamsville, NY home. He attended St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching the stock market, house hunting, and spending time with friends in the Western New York area. Wesley leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 72 years, Phyllis Hepfinger Dion, and his three children: Marcia Dion Loughman and her husband Joseph of S. Abbington Twp., PA, Jerome P. Dion and his wife, Robin of St. Augustine, FL, and Joseph W. Dion, and his wife Marianne of Peachtree City, GA; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Clara; and his siblings, Mildred Dion Kunde, Rita Dion Larabee, Francis Dion, Norman Dion, and foster sister Betty Jo Zoller. The family would like to thank the staffs of Mountain View Care Home and Allied Services Hospice Care in Scranton, PA for their kind and gentle care of Wesley. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wesley's memory are requested by the family, to Allied Hospice Services and Center, 3 Abington Executive Park, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Share condolences,
