A Bemus Point woman was arrested after deputies went to a home in the Town of Ellery at about 4 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a complaint about a child left alone, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Sheila R. Anderson, 38, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Deputies said they determined that the child, who was under 2 years old, had been left unattended for at least 90 minutes.

Anderson was issued a ticket to appear in Ellery Town Court at a later date, according to the Sheriff's Office.
