The Batavia Police Department announced Wednesday that it made an arrest in connection with several burglaries that occurred over the weekend of Jan. 4 in the city.
Christopher T. Sprague, a 25-year-old from Batavia, was arrested Friday and charged with third-degree burglary.
Batavia Police said Sprague was in custody at the Genesee County Jail on an unrelated petit larceny charge and a parole warrant at the time of his arrest.
Batavia Police investigated nine burglaries and attempted burglaries to businesses, in which individuals broke windows or kicked in doors to gain entry.
A white 1998 Dodge RAM 2500 diesel truck was stolen from one of the businesses, but later recovered, police said.
