Wind chill advisory to close Buffalo elementary schools Tuesday

Elementary schools in Buffalo will be closed Tuesday because of a National Weather Service wind chill advisory that has been issued for Tuesday morning, the Buffalo Public School District announced late Monday on Twitter.

In the tweet, the district noted that high school Regents exams scheduled for Tuesday will take place as planned, however.

According to school district spokeswoman Elena Cala, classes will be cancelled for preschool through eighth grade students in the district.

In a separate tweet, the school district said adult education classes will be in session Tuesday.
