Vote for the Prep Talk Girls Athlete of the Week (Jan. 21)

Each Athlete of the Week winner will be eligible for the Athlete of the Year poll conducted in the spring.

Here are this week's candidates:

Mackenzie Blake, Sacred Heart, hockey — Tallied two goals and one assist in two wins to help Monsignor Martin move into tie atop WNYGVIHF standings after 4-1 victory over F/L/OP.

Kennedy Izzo, Frontier, basketball — Averaged 21 points in two victories for 8-1 Falcons and became second player in school history to surpass 1,000 points.

Jada Kenner, Tapestry, track — Seventh-grader broke 36-year-old state record in the 55-meter dash (7.28 seconds) at New Balance Games in New York City, her fourth state record of the season.

Ronnie Nwora, Park, basketball — Georgia Tech commit reached 1,000-point milestone in win over Christian Central Baptist.
