HUNGRY? – New Hope United Methodist Church, 2846 Seneca St., West Seneca, will hold a free community dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m., serving goulash, salad, beverage and dessert. Free-will offerings are welcome.

The Town of Ellicott Republican Committee will host its annual pancake breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Alfie’s Restaurant, 937 Fairmount Ave., West Ellicott, outside Jamestown. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children, and will be available at the door.

SUNNY SOUNDS – The Carnival Kids Steel Orchestra from Lancaster High School, directed by Ken Kowalski, will strike up a Caribbean mood in concert at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Shrine Center, 1600 Southwestern Blvd., West Seneca. TALENT SEARCH – Deadline is Feb. 9 for applications for a $1,500 scholarship for high school seniors who live in the Town of Amherst and plan to major in music in college, either as instrumental or vocal majors. It’s sponsored by the Friends of the Amherst Symphony Orchestra and the Williamsville Rotary Club.
