Sean McDermott: NFL will handle probe into Jerry Hughes' fight with officials

Sean McDermott said Monday he has spoken to Jerry Hughes after the Buffalo Bills' defense end was caught on video having a verbal altercation with officials following Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins.

"I did see the video, and out of respect for the situation, I'm going to let the league handle that," McDermott said. "Jerry and I have spoken. I've gotten all the information from Jerry that I need and we'll move forward from there."

Hughes was furious after the loss, screaming "I'll catch you, trust me. I'll catch you, guaranteed," before being led to the locker room by guard John Miller, who was inactive because of an oblique injury.

"All I know is it's being handled by the league at this point," McDermott said, failing to provide any more detail on the conversation he's had with Hughes or the NFL.
