Bills' No. 1 cornerback Tre'Davious White was limited in practice for the second straight day on Thursday due to an ankle injury.
White's availability for Sunday's game against the Texans doesn't appear to be in jeopardy just yet, but it's certainly a situation worth monitoring considering how valuable White is to the Bills' defense – and how much they're going to need him this week.
White is earning the reputation of being a shutdown corner, routinely matching up with an opponent's top receiver and keeping him in check. His matchup this week is Houston's DeAndre Hopkins, one of the game's most explosive playmakers who ranks first in receiving yards with 594 yards in five games. Pro Football Focus graded him as the second-best receiver so far this season at 89.6, trailing only Tampa's DeSean Jackson (91.1).
Check back Friday for an update on White's status in the final practice of the week. If he's a full participant, that'll be a good sign.

Bills' pass rush rebounded: with good showing: The Bills were credited with pressuring Marcus Mariota on 11 of 33 dropbacks.

Voice of the Fan: This piece contained a line that hasn't been used much in these parts lately. "I don’t know about you, but there was no doubt in my mind the kick was going to be true before the snap. Stephen Hauschka is that good." I can't remember the last time Bills fans felt this good about their kicker.
