A box of Tim Hortons doughnuts will cost a little more today

If you like your Tim Hortons doughnuts by the box, you are now paying a little bit more.

Prices went up slightly on a handful of items at Western New York Tim Hortons shops Wednesday.

The most notable menu item to have its price change from Tuesday to Wednesday was a dozen doughnuts, which are up 40 cents from $8.99 to $9.39, a rise of 4.5 percent.

The cost of a half-dozen doughnuts went up 30 cents from $4.99 to $5.29, which is an increase of 6 percent.

Individual doughnut prices are unchanged at .99 cents each.

Prices on other Tim Hortons staples like standard coffees, Iced Capps and Timbits also remained unchanged.

Lattes, as well as Americano coffee, saw an across-the-board increase of 10 cents.

The price of a Classic Latte increased from $2.29 small/$2.79 medium/$3.29 large to $2.39/$2.89/$3.39. The Vanilla Latte and Caramel Latte both increased to $2.59/$3.09/$3.59; the Mocha Latte & White Mocha Latte are up to $2.89/$3.39/$3.89. Depending on the item and size, the 10-cent increase represents a change of just 2.6 to 4.4 percent.

The Americano is now $2.09/$2.29/$2.59, which is an increase of 4 (large size) to 5 percent (small).

Most breakfast and lunch items and meals did not see an increase; the exception was lunch items that featured steak.

The Angus Steak Fajita Grilled Wrap and Steak & Cheddar Panini, which were both priced at $4.99 for a sandwich and $6.99 for a meal, both had their prices increased to above $5 and $7 dollars, respectively.

Tim Hortons did not return an email sent to its media relations address.
